Gimlet
- 2 oz. gin
- 1/2 oz. lime juice
- 1/2 oz. simple syrup
- lime wheel

Instructions
Combine the alcohol, lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker. Add enough ice to match the liquid. Shake at a reasonable cadence until you hear the ice breaking down and the outside of the shaker is frosty. Strain into a coupe glass, garnish with a lime wheel, and enjoy.
Variations
Substitute vodka for gin, if you wish. The beauty in the picture above was made with Grey Goose and may actually be my preference.
